Hands Off: Home, Car and Other Personal Security Systems

Security and surveillance systems for the home, workplace and vehicles are important for many people's peace of mind. Because no one wants to constantly worry about the security of his home or property, hands off security systems are a great option.
 
Security systems range in price and available features, depending on the manufacturer and model of the system. While some can be simple and inexpensive, others are more costly but include countless extra features, including (but not limited to):

Surveillance: Security Camera Systems

Security cameras and surveillance systems are often used in businesses and other places that get a lot of traffic. However, some families like the added peace of mind that having a security camera system can bring to a home.
 
Whether you are looking to make your home or business more secure, keep in mind that you can get systems with many different features. While some security camera systems are on 24 hours a day, others will only activate if they sense light or movement in the area around the camera. Monitors, cameras and memory space for all of the camera footage are necessary for security camera systems.

Home Security Systems

Home security systems can be simple or advanced, depending on your individual needs. Most will sound an alarm (when activated) if an entry point, such as a window or a door, is opened or broken. These alarms can create a loud noise or may automatically alert the police. Some systems alert the alarm company, who will then call you immediately to assess the situation and send help if necessary.
 
Home security systems can be set with timers or with a code that family members enter into a keypad when they enter and leave the home. Special settings include those for when no one is at home, which is useful if you are taking a vacation, or for when the family is sleeping.
 
Wireless Home Security Systems
Wireless home security systems, as the name suggests, are home security systems that don't require wires installed in or construction done on your home to be activated. They operate on radio wave frequencies that communicate with one another throughout your home. If power goes out, these systems generally have backup generators to ensure that protection is never compromised.
 
Depending on the features included, in some cases, wiring and construction will be necessary to activate home security systems.

Car Security Systems

Car security systems are designed to deter car theft. These systems can include an alarm noise that sounds when a break-in occurs, a tracking system in the car to trace its location if theft occurs and even an automatic lock-down that will not allow the car to start if a theft is occurring. Many new cars are equipped with car security systems.
